My name is Ava and I am the proud founder and owner of Xoticsista Luxury Wigs. My journey into the wig design industry began in my twenties when I realised that there was a gap in the market for wigs that catered to the needs of the AfroCaribbean community. As someone of Afro-Caribbean and mixed heritage, I understand the importance of having hair that looks and feels natural. With over 10 years of experience in the industry, I am a certified wigs specialist and stylist with an NVQ level 2 and 3 in cosmetology specialising in all types of natural hair and wigs. I take great pride in my work and strive to ensure that every wig I design is of the highest quality and crafted to perfection. My passion for wigs stems from my own personal experience with hair – growing up, my hair was always an integral part of my life, and I found myself experimenting with everyone’s hair. I quickly discovered that wigs were a gamechanger for those who wanted to switch up their look or protect their natural hair. This inspired me to start my own business, with the goal of creating luxurious and empowering wigs that make clients feel like they were created with love just for them.
